{"id":8636,"date":"2025-06-27T10:19:41","date_gmt":"2025-06-27T08:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hestiahealth.es\/hestia-healths-participation-in-the-65th-segg-congress-and-the-28th-scgig-congress\/"},"modified":"2026-09-16T17:27:00","modified_gmt":"2026-09-16T15:27:00","slug":"hestia-healths-participation-in-the-65th-segg-congress-and-the-28th-scgig-congress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hestiahealth.es\/en\/hestia-healths-participation-in-the-65th-segg-congress-and-the-28th-scgig-congress\/","title":{"rendered":"Hestia Health&#8217;s participation in the 65th SEGG Congress and the 28th SCGiG Congress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 18, 19 and 20 June, members of the <strong>Hestia Health<\/strong> care team took an active part in one of the most significant events in geriatrics: the <strong>65th Congress of the Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola de Geriatr\u00eda y Gerontolog\u00eda (SEGG)<\/strong> and the <strong>28th Congress of the Societat Catalana de Geriatria i Gerontologia (SCGiG)<\/strong>, held simultaneously.<\/p>\n<p>Hestia Health was represented by Silvia Durany, Clinical Lead; Carolina Taram\u00f3n, Director of Nursing; and Luisa Carrasco, Deputy Director of Nursing. The three professionals participated by sharing experiences with colleagues in the sector, learning about new offerings from specialist suppliers and discussing projects and initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>One highlight was the presentation of a research study developed at Hestia Palau Intermediate Care Hospital. This prospective study aims to assess the implementation of systematic screening to identify patients at high risk of colonisation with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).<\/p>\n<p>The research has taken a clearly multidisciplinary approach, involving all professional groups in the hospital&#8217;s care environment.
