Hestia Health Balaguer is an intermediate care and mental health centre, opened in October 2014 to replace the former Hospital Jaume d’Urgell in Balaguer. It covers an area of 5,750 m² and is located on Carrer Gregori Gallego (the former INPACSA industrial area), serving the districts of Lleida.
It is a hospital affiliated with the HESTIA HEALTH group and has been a CatSalut provider within SISCAT’s intermediate care and mental health services since 1995. Its mission is “to care for people with mental health conditions and chronic diseases that cause disability, progressive diseases that lead to disability, cognitive impairment and terminal illnesses, as well as patients with functional rehabilitation needs or who require ongoing care or treatment”.

MENTAL HEALTH UNIT
A unit providing care tailored to the physical, psychological, emotional and social needs of institutionalised patients with chronic psychosis or another severe mental disorder. Its aim is clinical stabilisation and community reintegration through psychosocial rehabilitation.
DAY HOSPITAL – INTERMEDIATE CARE
A geriatric and psychogeriatric rehabilitation and stimulation unit. It is intended for older people and patients with chronic conditions who need comprehensive support, rehabilitation, treatment or specialist follow-up on a daytime outpatient basis.
