Hestia Health Residencia Esquerdo is conceived as a psychosocial rehabilitation facility where individuals with mental disorders can work on enhancing their skills and rebuilding their social networks, with the aim of fostering greater autonomy and community integration. Part of the Department of Social Policies’ network of care for people with severe, chronic, and long-term mental illness, the facility has been managed since its opening in 2018 by Hestia Health—an organization with over 25 years of experience in comprehensive health and social care and mental health services. Empathy, commitment, and a holistic approach guide Hestia Health and its highly qualified professionals in addressing their patients’ care needs.

Residence Hestia health Esquerdo
It is part of the public social care network for people with severe and persistent mental illness, under the Directorate General for Care for People with Disabilities of the Madrid Regional Government’s Department of Social Policies and Family. It is located on the ground floor of the Hestia Health Esquerdo Sanatorium and has 40 places in single rooms.
The team’s coordinated work focuses on preventing the deterioration associated with the illness, enabling maximum resident autonomy, and facilitating community integration.
OUR TEAM
Our multidisciplinary team consists of:
– Director
– Psychologist
– Occupational Therapist
– Social Integration Specialist
OUR PATIENTS
Eligibility for one of our places extends to individuals who:
– Have a severe, chronic mental illness.
– Are under the care of a primary psychiatrist with whom coordination will be maintained throughout their stay.
– Do not present issues that would prevent the provision of a reasonably normalized residential environment using the Residence’s resources and support services.
– Do not have substance abuse or alcoholism issues.
– Do not suffer from severe chronic illnesses requiring specialized, continuous care.

The Hestia Health Residencia Esquerdo center is located in the Aluche neighborhood, with very close access to various forms of public transport:
bus lines 121, 131, and 139; Metro line 5 (Aluche); and RENFE-Cercanías line C-5 (Aluche stop).).
