Breaking down barriers with compression at Hestia Health Madrid

On 22 October, Hestia Health Madrid organised a training day for the nursing team, delivered by Urgo Medical. The session focused on managing compression therapy for patients with venous leg ulcers and included a theoretical presentation on pathophysiology and treatment, followed by a practical workshop to apply the knowledge acquired.

At Hestia Health, we believe that ongoing training is key to providing the highest quality of care. Keeping our nursing team’s knowledge up to date strengthens their skills and contributes directly to improving care standards, reducing complications and enhancing our patients’ quality of life.

This type of training is particularly relevant because many patients with venous ulcers do not receive appropriate treatment. Multicomponent compression systems have been shown to be more effective than traditional systems, and a well-trained team is crucial to improving clinical outcomes.

At Hestia Health, we remain committed to continuous improvement, ensuring that our professionals are always prepared to offer the best possible care. Excellence in care begins with a team capable of meeting the challenges of each condition.
