Hestia Health Madrid participates in the 3rd Conference on Intermediate-Stay Hospital Care.

Hestia Health Madrid took part in the third Care Conference for Medium-Stay Hospitals, focused on the theme “Medium-Stay Care in the 21st Century: Innovating for Better Care” and organised by Hospital La Fuenfría.

The centre was represented by María Paz Agea Rodríguez, Director of Nursing, and Rogger Santos, Clinical Lead, at an event that brought together leading professionals and management teams from different medium-stay hospitals.

The meeting highlighted the growing importance of these centres within the healthcare system, as well as the need to expand their presence to complement the care provided by acute hospitals. Initiatives aimed at improving care and the patient experience were also presented, including transcranial electrical stimulation for patients with subacute stroke (Hospital La Fuenfría), the creation of outdoor therapeutic spaces (Hospital de Guadarrama), the use of bedside ultrasound and new approaches to designing specialist units, such as a unit caring for people with ALS (Hospital Isabel Zendal).

Conferences like this allow us at Hestia Health to incorporate new perspectives and ideas that enrich our model of care. They also give us the opportunity to contribute our experience, exchange knowledge and continue working alongside other professionals towards more humane, innovative and coordinated healthcare.
