Service users and professionals from Clínica Coroleu enjoyed a different kind of day, breaking their routine and spending quality time having fun through healthy, enriching leisure activities on a visit to the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site in Barcelona.
The group, which included the occupational therapist and sociocultural activities coordinator from the specialist mental health centre managed by Hestia Alliance in the Sant Andreu neighbourhood, once again made use of local resources to enrich its service users’ therapeutic process.
“While enjoying this jewel of Barcelona’s Art Nouveau architecture and learning about this hospital’s long history of dedication to public health, we forgot unpleasant feelings and negative thoughts,” the care team at Clínica Coroleu explains.
For these professionals, promoting sporting and cultural activities creates opportunities for therapeutic intervention in a more playful and relaxed setting. Recently, six of the clinic’s service users attended the 24th Agustí de Semir and Conxi Millán Drawing Awards ceremony.
