Eva Luque, Managing Director of Hestia, played a prominent role in the panel discussion organised by Sodexo, which addressed the challenges of preventing and reducing food waste.
Last week, Hestia had the privilege of taking part in Sodexo’s panel discussion, joining a select group of experts and professionals to explore progress in preventing and reducing food waste throughout the value chain. Entitled “Objective: Save Food. Challenges in Tackling Waste”, the first panel, moderated by Nuria de Pedraza Barbero, Director of Communications and Institutional Relations at AECOC, brought together leading figures in the field, including Alfredo Vara, Head of the Prevention and Resource Efficiency Department at the Agència de Residus de Catalunya; Mónica Sánchez, HSE Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim; and Daniel Lois Cerezo, Director of CSR and Sustainability at Sodexo. Together with Eva Luque from Grupo Hestia, they explored the challenges and opportunities in this vital area.

In another highlight of the event, Lorena Redonda, Director of Communications at Sodexo, introduced the panel “Success Stories in the Food Value Chain”, which showcased inspiring projects and initiatives led by Albert Moreno, Key Account Manager at es im-perfect, part of Fundació Espigoladors; Jesús Peinado, CEO of Gemüsering Iberia; and Carolina Bonafonte, Project Director at Fundación Áurea. These examples highlighted both a strong environmental commitment and a social, human approach to tackling waste.
We sincerely thank Sodexo for giving us the opportunity to take part in this enriching meeting and share a panel with leading experts and professionals. We also express our gratitude to the esteemed Carina Cabezas, Managing Director of Sodexo, whose visionary leadership was instrumental in making this valuable exchange of knowledge and good practice possible.

At Grupo Hestia, we reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. We pledge to continue working to promote a culture in which food is not wasted, recognising our responsibility towards people, society and the planet.
