On 23 May 2025, the 17th Interdisciplinary Conference on Care Homes for Older People in Catalonia was held at the Fundació Sanitària Mollet campus under the theme “Supporting People Through Memory Loss”. This annual event, organised by nine professional associations, brought together experts from different fields to reflect on care for people with cognitive impairment in residential settings. It provided an opportunity to share experiences and move towards an ethical, integrative and person-centred model of care.
Hestia Health took part in this edition by presenting two scientific posters produced by professionals from the group. The first, entitled “The Impact of Delirium on Older People in Emergency Departments: A Literature Review”, was prepared by César Dante Arévalo, Carolina Taramón, Luisa Carrasco and Susana Pimentel. The second, “Healthcare Professionals’ Knowledge, Attitudes and Accessibility in Relation to Advance Directives”, was authored by Carolina Taramón, Luisa Carrasco, Susana Pimentel and César Dante Arévalo.
Participation in events of this kind strengthens Hestia Health’s commitment to continuous improvement, knowledge generation and the promotion of ethical, professional and humane care for older people.
