Hestia Health Residencia Esquerdo marked its anniversary with the third edition of its annual race, bringing together around one hundred professionals, patients and service users under the motto “Steps That Care”, reflecting our holistic vision of care.
The hospital grounds were filled with energy, companionship and enthusiasm through an activity adapted to different abilities and paces. Participants could take part in three categories: Walkers, to enjoy the route at a leisurely pace; Runners, for those maintaining a steady pace; and Sprinters, for those tackling a longer, more demanding route.
Beyond the competition, this initiative highlighted the benefits of physical exercise for overall wellbeing. Regular activity helps reduce stress, improve mood and strengthen self-esteem, supporting both physical and mental health.
Laughter, applause, words of encouragement and hugs at the finish line turned the race into an experience of togetherness, motivation and shared achievement.
At Hestia Health Esquerdo, we thank everyone who attended for taking part and our professionals for their involvement, together with the Occupational Therapy Department, whose commitment made possible a day dedicated to movement, health and community care.
