Hestia Health centres recently hosted a specialist session delivered by Urgo Medical, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of venous ulcers, together with a practical debridement workshop.
This initiative forms part of Hestia Health’s ongoing commitment to updating knowledge and improving the quality of care provided by its professionals. The session combined theoretical content with clinical practice, offering a comprehensive view of the management of these chronic wounds.
Throughout the day, professionals explored the differential diagnosis of venous ulcers and the latest therapeutic strategies, focusing on a structured approach that integrates clinical assessment, compression therapy and local wound treatment. This approach is key to supporting wound healing and improving patients’ progress.
The day concluded with a practical debridement workshop, in which professionals acquired technical skills for removing devitalised tissue, an essential procedure for optimising wound healing. This type of applied training strengthens safety, effectiveness and quality in care practice.
Through this activity, Hestia Health continues to advance a model of care focused on clinical excellence and continuous professional development, with a clear goal: to improve health outcomes and quality of life for the people receiving care.
