The “Nature and Well-being” program begins at Hestia Esquerdo.

On 9 April, we joined service users from Residencia Hestia Esquerdo for an enriching hike through the natural landscapes of Casa de Campo. This activity marked the start of our new programme, “Nature and Wellbeing”, an initiative designed to promote health and emotional balance through contact with the natural environment.

As numerous studies have shown, nature is a powerful ally in caring for our health, particularly our mental health. Spending time outdoors, surrounded by greenery and natural sounds, not only improves mood but also increases concentration, reduces stress levels and encourages a general sense of calm and wellbeing.

Walking among trees, breathing fresh air or simply listening to birdsong are experiences that, although simple, have a profound impact on our emotional balance. These small moments of connection with nature can make a significant contribution to helping us feel calmer, refreshed and more energetic.

At Hestia Esquerdo, we believe that incorporating activities of this kind into our service users’ daily lives is an effective and accessible way to promote their overall wellbeing. We are therefore launching this new programme with enthusiasm and commitment, confident that it will be a positive, enriching experience for everyone taking part
