Hestia Health Gràcia continues to promote cultural initiatives that contribute to the wellbeing of the people receiving care. Through the programme run by the Sociocultural Activities Department, the intermediate care centre incorporates literature as a tool for encouraging participation, reflection and the exchange of experiences.
Among the activities was the presentation of Renèixer by author Judith Correa F., an epistolary narrative written in prose with a lyrical voice that invites introspection and resilience. The activity included Natalia Evangelista, the centre’s psychologist and occupational therapist.
The programme continued with a visit from Carlos Rivero, author of La rosa dorment del Nil. During the meeting, people receiving care were able to speak directly with the author, explore the story in more depth and discover the symbolism in the novel. Natalia Evangelista complemented the activity with a psychological analysis of the work and a space for dialogue focused on learning and reflection.
Establishing this cultural programme allows new opportunities for participation and personal enrichment to become part of life at the centre. Through activities combining culture, dialogue and professional support, Hestia Health Gràcia reaffirms its commitment to humanising integrated health and social care, contributing to the overall wellbeing of the people receiving care.
