The administrative team at Hestia Health Maresme recently took part in the first Healthcare Administrative Professionals Conference, organised by the Regió Sanitària Barcelona Metropolitana Norte to recognise and raise the visibility of these professionals’ role in healthcare. The event was held at Hospital de Mollet and brought together administrative teams from different care settings.
Administration is an essential part of care delivery. It helps ensure more organised, coordinated and approachable care by supporting continuity of processes, communication between teams and assistance for patients and families at key moments in their care.
Throughout the day, participants shared experiences, projects and strategies developed in different parts of the healthcare system, with the aim of exchanging good practice, identifying common challenges and continuing to improve administrative support in healthcare.
